Description
The Riversmith Truck Bed River Quiver is a ShortCut rod carrier bundled with the hardware to mount it inside a pickup bed, so rigged fly rods ride locked and out of sight under a tonneau cover or topper instead of on the roof. Rods up to 10 feet 4 inches fit broken in half with the reel attached, and the carrier bolts to the bed's cargo rails or straight to the bed wall. Pick the 2-Banger for two rods or the 4-Banger for four, in Silver or Black, and choose the length that fits your bed.
How It Works
The carrier mounts along the inside wall of the bed. It fits under most bed covers and above most drawer systems, so you keep the rest of the bed. Break each rod at the middle ferrule and slide both halves into the tube with the reel attached. The included Rod Chairs clip the halves together so the rigged line does not tangle. At the water, pull the rod, seat the ferrule, and fish.
Two ways to install - Cargo rail install uses the included T-track hardware on factory or aftermarket bed rails. Direct mount uses the included self-tapping hardware into the bed panel. Direct mount is not compatible with a drop-in bed liner, since the mounts must sit flush on the bed wall. Ford BoxLink beds take a separate adapter kit from Riversmith.
Same River Quiver protection - Hard aluminum outer shell, soft polypropylene lining, and a padded reel box molded from AES polymer with a high-security tongue-and-groove joint. The mount is powder-coated aluminum with stainless steel hardware.
Which Length?
Measure the interior length of the bed before ordering.
- 60 to 68 inch beds: 59.25-inch carrier, fits rods up to 9 feet 6 inches broken in half
- Beds over 68 inches: 68.75-inch carrier, fits rods up to 10 feet 4 inches broken in half
Most 5-foot short beds are in the first group and most 6-foot and longer beds are in the second. The shorter carrier gives up a 10-foot rod but fits a 5-foot bed with room for the tailgate.
