This is a limited run of five Thomas & Thomas Exocett Bluewater 15/16wt 8'4" fly rods built with different hardware than the standard production model. The reel seat is not the standard Exocett Bluewater seat. The photos show these exact rods. Once these five are gone, they're gone.
The Exocett Bluewater is a big game rod built for prolonged vertical fights with the largest fish in the ocean. The 15/16wt is rated for 600-750 grain lines and casts floating, intermediate, and sinking lines.
Blank
The Exocett Bluewater uses a progressive loading blank that combines proprietary carbon and S-glass layups in each section. A complex reinforcement strategy strengthens the critical areas that carry the load during long vertical fights. The progressive action profile keeps maximum pressure on the fish and relieves stress from the angler.
Guides
Guide placement is strategic, so the entire blank loads smoothly during the fight. The stripping guides are REC Recoil with underwraps, selected for durability.
Rod Tube
The three-piece design stores in a 36 inch tube for easier travel.
