Description
The Riversmith PackOut is a half-pound, 11 by 8 inch fly fishing pack for days when you want a fly box, tippet and a tool on your hip and nothing else. Its one unusual feature is a removable, machine-washable trash bag that deploys from its own pocket, so the line clippings, leader packets and other people's cans come off the river with you. Available in Shadow Kelp and Gray Cadmium.
How It Works
The main pocket takes a standard fly box plus tippet spools and a leader wallet. Straps on the outside hold forceps and hemostats. The trash pocket holds a folded 11 by 22 inch containment bag that pulls out when you need it and goes in the washing machine when you get home. Compartments are water-resistant, enough for rain and a deep wade, not a swim.
Wear it four ways - A removable strap carries it crossbody, on the hip or over the shoulder. A Velcro attachment system straps it to a wading belt, a backpack hip belt, a raft frame or the headrest of the truck.
