Description

The Riversmith Standard Mount is the original bracket that clamps a River Quiver fly rod carrier to your roof rack crossbars. Every new River Quiver ships with mounts, so this is the set to buy when you move the carrier to a second vehicle, replace a worn bracket, or switch back from another mount type. The 2-Banger set is two brackets with hardware. The 4-Banger set is four.

How It Works

Each bracket has a T-stud that slides into the T-track on the bottom of the River Quiver extrusion, so you can position the mounts anywhere along the tube to line up with your crossbars. The lower half of the bracket clamps around the crossbar and bolts tight. Riversmith puts installation at 10 to 15 minutes. With the Standard Mount, the carrier sits about 5 inches above the crossbar.

Composite construction - The bracket body is a strong, corrosion-proof composite. Owners report sets lasting five or six seasons on the vehicle year-round.

Coated hardware - The bolts and nuts are anti-seize and anti-corrosion coated, so they come apart when you want them to.

Fit Notes

  • Works with most rooftop crossbars, round, square or aero.
  • Crossbars thicker than 1.5 inches need Riversmith's Extended Bolts, sold separately.
  • Factory racks that sit very low to the roof may need a shorter bolt set. Riversmith's mounting guide lists the common vehicles.
  • The Standard Mount is not locking on its own. Add a Locking Bolt Set to secure the brackets with a coded driver.

Why We Like It

It is the simplest and least expensive way to put a River Quiver on a rack, and it fits the widest range of crossbars. If you want to take the carrier off regularly, the Quick Release Mount is worth the upgrade. If you want it as low as possible on a T-track rack, look at the LP T-Track Mount. For a carrier that stays on the vehicle, this is the one.
