Description
Early-morning trico spinner falls on a glassy spring creek, tricky terrestrial-eaters at noon in a crystal clear mountain stream, and an evening emergence on your favorite stillwater pond, whatever dry fly situation you find yourself in, St. Croix’s all-new Technica series has you ready. The Technica family of rods utilizes state-of-the-art materials that start with an MITO Graphene blank, exclusive to St. Croix, that gives serious loop control, on-the-dime accuracy, and hoop strength like no other. This radical blank technology meets a moderate action and IPC (Integrated Poly Curve) mandrel tooling for added strength, excellent rod recovery, and top-notch energy transfer. The combination of Recoil single-foot and Cerecoil stripper guides further enhances durability without any added weight. St. Croix makes their Technica rods in Park Falls, WI in various lengths and weights ranging from 3wt to 5wt, providing you with the perfect options for every dry fly scenario you encounter this season.
Blank
MITO Graphene Blank - St. Croix’s Technica Fly Rods have a MITO Graphene blank. This blank is exclusive to St. Croix, and the Graphene construction brings excellent line speed, perfect accuracy, a lightweight feel, and ultra-tough durability. This premium blank has a moderate action, giving solid feedback and making your time on the water as fun as it gets.
Built for fishing but maintaining a timeless look that will keep your brain on rising snouts, St. Croix Technica Rods feature a deep olive green blank that looks handsome and blends into your surroundings for added stealth. The look of the Technica’s blank is further enhanced with the tiger maple reel seat insert and two-tone FLOR-Grade cork handle.
Guides
Recoil Single-Foot Guides - Super lightweight and performance-forward, these guides are butter smooth, corrosion-proof, and spring back into shape no matter what they encounter.
Cerecoil Stripper Guides - Cerecoil stripper guides complete the Technica Rod, and just like the Recoil Guides, these maintain their shape no matter how they’re bent, provide great shootability, and are as light as they come.
Reel Seat
Uplocking, Machined Aluminum Reel Seat with Tiger Maple Insert - Combining a sharp look with all of the performance you need for hammering the creek all day, the Technica has an uplocking machined aluminum reel seat that’s lightweight, locks your reel in for the long haul, and prevents any corrosion. With a Tiger Maple insert, you get added aesthetic appeal that complements the rest of this premium rod.
Rod Tube
Whether you’re driving a bumpy road to camp for a week of blue lining or hopping on a plane to Alaska, your rod is safe in its aluminum tube and protective rod sock.

As of June 2024, St. Croix’s Technica Fly Rods are covered by St. Croix’s 15-year transferable warranty. St. Croix reserves the right to review each warranty on a case-by-case basis to determine the best course of action.
