Description
The all-new Scott GT series brings back everything anglers loved about the original G rods - that buttery, intuitive feel — and pairs it with modern carbon advancements to make each rod lighter, quicker, and far more versatile. These blanks use Scott’s newest X-Core2 and ARC2 technologies to create faster recovery, smoother energy transfer, and that “connected” sensation you only get from a rod that flexes in perfect harmony from tip to butt and into your hand. What you end up with is a true crossover trout system: a single rod that can float a size 18 dry with precision in the morning, roll a heavy nymph rig after lunch, and still have the backbone to turn a streamer before the sun crests the mountain line. Scott's GT feels alive in your hand — sporty, progressive, and incredibly responsive — making long days on the water easier and more fun. Whether you’re sneaking along small brushy streams or hunting big-water fish with long leaders, this series gives you a ridiculous amount of capability in one beautifully built package. It's the kind of rod you buy once and instantly feel like you should’ve owned for years, and with line weights spanning 3 through 6, there's an option for every situation. Handcrafted in Montrose, Colorado, these premium rods set you up for success everywhere you take them.
Blank
Blank Technology - Scott's GT blank blends the heritage G-series feel with modern lightness and speed. These new GT blanks are thinner-walled than any previous G generation, built using multi-modulus carbon fiber layups and Scott’s X-Core2 principles to deliver exceptional energy transmission and feel. The result is a progressively smooth action that’s both sporty and soulful — plenty of punch when you need it, with exquisite tip sensitivity for delicate presentations.
The GT series brings together X-Core2 (thinner walls for quicker rod speed), ARC2 multidirectional fibers (for improved recovery and stability), and advanced multi-modulus carbon layups to produce fast recovery, higher line speed, and outstanding feedback. Scott also reworked the hollow internal ferrule to be up to 20% lighter and to flex in harmony with the blank, producing a near one-piece feel in 4- and 5-piece rods. Carbon Link and ReAct technologies further refine how the blank transmits energy, you feel fish impressions and strikes with remarkable clarity.
For added convenience, each blank comes with alignment dots and measuring wraps.
