Description

Totally redesigned and made to more fluidly transfer power from your rod, into the line, and right into your fly, Scientific Anglers' Skagit Float Lines are a dream to work with. Scientific Anglers started by taking the old level-belly Skagit tapers out of the equation and replaced them with a full taper that runs end to end and has a completely tapered belly. While this makes for ultra-smooth casting, it also accommodates a wide range of sink tip lengths and weights for quick adaptability on the water. Built in grains 420 through 600, this series of Skagit heads has an option whether you're swinging flies on the Salmon River or hitting the Bonaventure for Atlantic Salmon.

Features

SA Line ID and Advanced Shooting Technology - Scientific Anglers knows that there's nothing worse than flipping through your wallet for an hour trying to find the right grain weight. To remedy this problem, they've incorporated their SA Line ID into this series. SA Line ID is a quick identifier at the first 1'-2' of the line's tip that prevents you from wasting time and making critical mistakes. Made with durability and long casts in mind, Scientific Anglers equips their Skagit Float Line with their Advanced Shooting Technology (AST). AST is a patented dry-slick technology that reduces friction for the life of the line while also shedding dirt, grime, and other particles in order to increase the line's life.

Uses

Streamers - The Skagit Float Line was made entirely for swinging flies and fishing streamers. Whether you're casting a Green Butt Skunk or an Intruder, this line is sure to deliver with ease.

Temp

Cold/Moderate - Scientific Anglers built this line for fishing in cold to moderate environments. This means that it's a perfect match when pursuing the cold waters that steelhead and salmon call home.

Taper/Weight

More Mass Towards the Front of the Head - A unique taper for a Skagit line, the Skagit Float Line has a compact head that focuses the mass towards the front. Being tapered from end to end with a fully tapered belly gives a smooth transition of power and allows you to easily turn over heavy tips and make effortless casts.
