Description

The Bermuda Triangle Taper Lost Tip Fly Line features a floating running line and a clear 'Lost Tip'. The clear tip encourages ultimate stealth on the flats when targeting finicky Bonefish, Permit, or Tarpon. This line features everything we've come to love about the Triangle Taper (efficient energy transfer, great shooting capabilities, delicate presentations) with the extra advantage of a clear intermediate tip to help your flies sink and remain stealthy. If you're traveling down to the flats this season, consider the RW Lost Tip.

Features

J3 Coating, Clear Tip - Royal Wulff's J3 Coating causes the line to float higher, shoot farther, and repel water for ultimate performance. The slick coating has a 'dry feel' which helps minimize friction through the guides and increases the life of the line. The line's durability and dirt-repelling capabilities can also be attributed to this coating. The intermediate tip version of this line comes in a Clear/Tropic Blue color scheme for enhanced stealth on the tropical saltwater flats. This tip sinks at 1.5-2 inches per second.

Uses

Delicate Presentations, Bonefish and More - This is a line that's designed for delicacy and made for spooky fish in a flats fishing environment. Whether you're targeting Bonefish, Permit, or Tarpon, this is a line that will help you make accurate presentations with a variety of flies to a variety of species. A continuous forward line taper means this line transfers casting energy from the rod to the fly with ease and is a great line choice in windy conditions. Use this version of the line when fishing crab flies or small shrimp patterns in a few feet of water.

Temp

Warm/Tropical - This line is built for tropical climates. Bermuda Triangle Taper works best in water temps and air temps that are warm or tropical, and the fly line is designed for maximum performance in a flats/skiff scenario. Due to its warm water design, this line will shrivel in cold weather or cold water. Royal Wulff says 'works best above 70 degrees Fahrenheit'.

Taper/Weight

Continuous Forward Taper - The head of the Triangle Taper ranges from 27 feet to 40 feet, depending on the line size you choose. Unlike any other line, it features a continuous front taper, which means the heaviest part of the head is at the rear and the lightest is in the forward part of the line. This taper promotes wide-ranging performance from small Bonefish flies to larger streamers and everything in between.

BEST LINE FOR A TFO AXIOM 2X

"UNDER THE RECOMMENDATION FROM A FRIEND, I PICKED UP A SPOOL FOR MY 6WT AXIOM 2X. MY GOD THE ROD CAME ALIVE. ITS NOW MY FAVORITE WADING STICK. TONS OF POWER TO PUNCH THROUGH A 15KT WIND WITH A SINGLE DOUBLE HAUL AND STILL SOMEHOW LANDS SOFTER THAN TINKERBELL. ADDED A 10FT FLOURO LEADER AND THAT HAS BEEN A KILLER COMBO!!!! LINE DOESNT GET STICKY AND HOLDS IT SHAPE SO I HAVE A LOT LESS TANGLES TO DEAL WITH. 5 STARS."

Heat tolerant

"In my opinion Wulff saltwater fly line of any kind is better than other flylines especially the Bermuda Blue. Living in high humidity, high heat, semitropics puts a strain on other lines usually resulting in spalling and nicks in the coatings of other brands of flyline. Wulff simply holds up better and casting into the wind is a breeze ????"
