The Orvis Helios F Rosenbauer Edition Fly Rod celebrates five decades of Tom Rosenbauer at Orvis. Few people have taught more anglers to fish better, and this rod is built on the blank he reaches for first: the 9 foot 4 weight Helios F. Orvis limited the run to 300 rods worldwide, and each one carries its own number on the label. Tom chose every detail himself, from the cigar cork grip and maple burl reel seat to the wooden tube and heritage canvas rod sack. The result is a dry fly and light nymph rod for trout water, with the accuracy and feel that define Helios F, dressed the way Tom likes it.

Helios F 904-4 Blank - The Rosenbauer Edition uses the same 9 foot 4 weight, four piece Helios F blank as the standard Helios F, built in Manchester, Vermont. The F stands for finesse. Orvis tuned this taper for tip control and tippet protection, so it lands a small dry in a feeding lane and protects 6X when a good fish turns. Helios 4 technology gives it four times the accuracy of the Helios 3 with a 10 percent lower swing weight and 25 percent more durability. The blank wears a matte olive finish from butt to tip, with no grey and white butt section. The Helios F label and Tom's signature sit above the grip in green.

Maple Burl with PVD Nickel-Silver Hardware - Tom picked a stained maple burl spacer and paired it with PVD-coated nickel-silver hardware. The PVD coating protects the nickel-silver finish from wear and tarnish. Each burl spacer has its own grain, so no two rods in the run look exactly alike.

Maple Burl Wood Tube by Wayward Trading Post - The rod ships in a stained maple burl wood tube crafted by Wayward Trading Post. The tube is engraved with the Orvis mark and Tom's signature. Orvis backs the Helios F Rosenbauer Edition with its 25-Year Guarantee. If you break the rod, Orvis will repair it, and if Orvis cannot repair it, Orvis will replace it with a rod of at least equal value.
