Description
The Riversmith Low-Profile T-Track Mount bolts a River Quiver fly rod carrier directly into the T-track of your roof rack, with no bracket wrapped around the crossbar. It is the lowest, cleanest way to mount a River Quiver on Yakima, Thule, Rhino-Rack and similar T-slot bars and platforms, and it locks with a security cap and custom key. Sold in complete sets for a 2-Banger or 4-Banger carrier.
How It Works
The River Quiver has T-track on both the top and bottom of its extrusion. The LP mount is a plate that joins that track to the T-track in your crossbar, so the carrier sits down on the bar instead of standing on a bracket. The mount itself adds about 5/8 inch above the crossbar. Including the carrier's own extrusion, total added height is about 3 inches, against about 5 inches for the Standard Mount. Riversmith puts installation at around 7 minutes.
Security cap - All of the mounting hardware is enclosed in a proprietary cap that only opens with the included key, so the carrier cannot be unbolted from the rack.
Reels-up option - If the space under your rack is less than the reel box's 5-inch depth, the River Quiver can be mounted upside down with the reel box on top. The LP mount works either way.
Mount it to anything with T-track - On overland rigs with platform racks, roof boxes or awning brackets competing for space, the LP mount lets the River Quiver go wherever there is a free run of track.
Fit Notes
- Requires crossbars or a platform with an 18 mm square T-slot, the standard on most Yakima, Thule and similar bars.
- Not for round, square or aero bars without a T-slot. Use the Standard Mount or Quick Release Mount on those.
- The 2-Banger set includes 2 mounts for a 2-Banger carrier. The 4-Banger set includes 2 wider mounts for a 4-Banger carrier.

Warranty
Riversmith backs the LP T-Track Mount with a limited lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
Why We Like It
Owners who switch from the Standard Mount describe it the same way: the carrier stops looking like a length of conduit on a bracket and starts looking like part of the rack. Lower is also quieter, more aerodynamic and less of a reach to load. If your rack has T-slots, this is the mount to get.
