Hareline Plummeting Tungsten Beads are the perfect bead for all of your heavy nymphs. They are a standard and predictable quality bead. They come in tons of colors and sizes, meaning there is always a bead that will work for your flies.
Patterns and Tying Techniques - Typically, Hareline Plummeting Tungsten Beads are used to tie bead-head nymphs. They can also be used to tie streamers with bead heads and can help get your flies down quicker.
Hareline Slotted Tungsten Beads vs Hareline Plummeting Tungsten Beads -Slotted Tungsten beads are designed to be used with jig hooks. They are heavier than the Plummeting beads because the slot removes less material. The slot also allows the use of a bigger bead on a smaller hook.
Patterns - These beads are perfect for any of your bead head nymph patterns including, Pheasant Tails, Gold Ribbed Hares Ears, and Prince Nymphs. They can be used on streamers like the Zonker and Rolled Muddler to add weight.
Approximate Dimensions - Available in sizes from 1/16in to 7/32in.
Pack Size - 20 beads per pack.
**These sizes and dimensions may vary based on manufacturer changes**

"These beads have made my weighted fly patterns more effective for when I need to get deeper in more turbulent water ."
"A little on the expensive side"
"Order came early and complete. only problem was with the Hareline Plummeting Tungsten Beads. Holes were not the same size and many of the beads were extremely hard to get on the hooks. They also had sharp tungsten bits sticking out on the large hole side which required extra care to avoid with the tying thread and dubbing"
"Everything Trident supplies from Hareline always works as described"
"Beads fell off hook at eye or covered the eye. Yes, I matched bead and hook sizes."
"I use the small sizes in mottled brown and mottled olive for tying nymphs. They work very well."
"I use 2.0mm and 2.3mm plummeting beads in red, black, and olive for tying wet flies and nymphs on #14 through #18 hooks to use with my 2-weight outfit. The beads work well."
