Description

Hareline Extra Select Marabou feathers are the largest marabou plumes available. When you need marabou for big steelhead and salmon flies or for saltwater use, this is what you want. The feathers are huge and can be used to palmer with or use the whole feather for a wing or tail. The stems on these plumes are thin on the top third and thicker towards the bottom.

Uses

Patterns and Tying Techniques - Hareline Extra Select Marabou feathers can be used to tail streamers or make realistic swimming nymph patterns like damselflies. You can also use them for wings on streamers. A small piece of marabou can also be used to make gills and thoraxes on nymphs.
