Description

Hareline Deer Belly Hair is mostly used for spinning thick, floating heads on patterns like bass bugs, or other large streamers that are meant to push water. The way this works is that because the deer hair fibers are hollow, when you pack them very tightly together and spin them around the hook shank, you can create flies with floating heads. This is a very popular tying technique among those who fish streamers. The best part is that the hair comes dyed in so many colors that there are endless possibilities for how to use this stuff.

Comparison: Like Bucktail in the sense that the hair is from the same animal, but these fibers are not made to flow in the tail of a streamer, they are meant to be spun and cut into a tight head.
