The Hardy Tactus Dry Fly Rod is built for the fish that will not tolerate a mistake. There is a particular kind of trout fishing where the cast has to land soft, the tippet has to be fine enough to be invisible, and the rod has to protect that tippet through the entire fight, and it is exactly the kind of fishing that punishes an over-powered rod. The Tactus Dry Fly is a versatile light line series covering dry fly, nymphing and wet flies, built on Sintrix FLT resin for high recovery with a genuinely light blank. It runs from a 9ft 2in 3wt for tippets down to 7x, in the increasingly popular Spanish dry fly style, up to a 9ft 9in 4wt that doubles as a superb cross-over Euro nymphing rod.

Sintrix FLT Resin - The Tactus is built on Hardy's Sintrix FLT resin, which the brand positions as their ultimate strength-to-weight ratio. On the water that shows up as high recovery: the blank stops moving when you stop moving it, which is what actually maximises accuracy and control at range. The blanks are finished in olive.
