Great vice
"Had one for 6 years. Tied 1000 of jigs. Still going strong"
The Griffin Odyssey Spider Cam Vise is a true rotary workhorse that gives you confident hook holding and smooth control, so you can tie faster and place materials with precision from start to finish.
True rotary, 360-degree rotation - The vise rotates smoothly through a full circle, letting you wrap ribbing, wire, and dubbing evenly while keeping the fly in the same working position. This makes it easier to see what you are doing and helps you build cleaner bodies without constantly re-gripping the hook.
Spider cam, cam-lock jaw system - The cam-operated jaws lock down with a quick throw, so you can clamp a hook firmly and get back to tying without fiddling with knobs every time. It speeds up hook changes and gives a solid, repeatable grip when you are tying batches of flies.
The compact, user-friendly layout keeps your tying area clear and your hands close to the hook. With true rotary control and smooth rotation, you can move the fly instead of twisting your wrist and shoulders, which helps reduce fatigue during long sessions at the bench.
The cam-lock jaws are built to hold a wide range of hook sizes, from #28 up to 4/0, so you can move from tiny trout bugs to bigger streamers and saltwater patterns on the same vise. The steel jaws are made for durability, and the cam system gives a firm lockup across different wire gauges without constant micro-adjustments once you have your setup dialed in.

"Had one for 6 years. Tied 1000 of jigs. Still going strong"
"I have been using my Spider for 6 years and got others to purchase one. Great rotary for the money. I have found them on sale for around $100. Have tied size 20 trout flies to size 2 saltwater flies on it."
"This is a poorly made product. When I assembled it, it is obvious that it will not hold flies due to the lack of structure strength of the jaw assembly. Spend a few more dollars and get something stronger. Don’t try to cheap out on this vise, it’s not worth it."
