The Fraddis Fly is a jig-style nymph from Umpqua signature tyer Adam Engleman, a guide in Colorado's Upper Gunnison watershed who built the pattern after finding traditional standbys like the Hare's Ear coming up short on his home rivers. The name says it all: part Frenchie, part Caddis. A slotted bead, slim olive body, and a bright hot spot collar give it the fish-attracting triggers of a Frenchie, while the soft CDC collar and buggy profile sell it as a natural.
Originally designed to imitate net-spinning caddis, the Fraddis has proven far more versatile.
