Description

The floating version in Cortland's Streamer series, this line is ideal for throwing poppers for Bass or streamers to Trout in shallow water. This is a typical Cortland line in many ways and has similar features to a lot of other Cortland fly lines. The braided core is extra durable and the line coating keeps it protected for years on the water. Partner this line with a fast action rod, tie on a streamer, and you're off to the races. This is also a great streamer line to fish out of a drift boat in high western winds or in the northwest for Steelhead/Salmon.

Features

Welded Loops, High Floating Coating - Cortland has built a few different features into this line to keep it simple and functional on the water. The line is designed to remain durable during days on the water with a coating that also improves casting capabilities. Loops at both ends allow anglers to easily attach leaders and backing so you can focus on the fishing instead of the rigging. This line comes in an olive/green color scheme so you always know when the head of the line is in the water.

Uses

Streamers, Freshwater - Cortland's Streamer line is designed to make throwing large streamers efficient and easy. The short, aggressive taper and high floating braided nylon multifilament line create a durable line built for long days on the water. The head is overweighted to help load fast-action rods quickly at all distances. This is a great line for Trout, Steelhead, Bass, Salmon, and more freshwater big bug eaters.

Temp

Cold/Moderate - This line features a braided nylon multifilament core which means it's made to be used in cold and moderate climates including freshwater streams and rivers, lakes, and almost any climate. That being said, this line will turn limp in tropical climates and isn't meant to be used in high heat.

Taper/Weight

Short Aggressive Taper - The 3' front taper and shorter head of this line make it great for cutting down the wind and turning over large flies. The WF6F 30' grain weight is 185 grains which means that it's built a full-size heavy, too. Plus, the line's color change accentuates where the head ends and the running line begins so you can always identify taper points. The simple taper and design of this line make it useful and high-performing on the water.
