Built with a 28’ type 6 head (6-7 IPS), this line gets your flies down quickly and its intermediate running line provides a smooth transition with a constant connection to your flies. Cortland crafts this line with a braided nylon core that has minimal stretch to let you really drive the hook home, and they also include their Shooting Technology that, when coupled with this line’s aggressive taper, makes for easy loading, long casts, and a very low level of friction. The Compact Specialty Sink Fly Line is made in line weights 5 through 12+ and features a temperature rating that lets you chase anything from offshore tuna to trout laid up at the bottom of a reservoir.

This temperature configuration allows you to fish over a range of temperatures starting at about 50 degrees and extending well above 70 degrees. This enables you to target things like warm water species in a freshwater environment just as well as tropical species inshore and offshore.
