Uses
Core’s C2461 Long Shank Aberdeen Black Hooks are made for tying streamers, and with their long shank, they allow you to achieve big natural profiles. Whether you’re tying flies that are articulated or working with smaller sizes to tie offerings like a simple bucktail streamer, these hooks are a good choice.
Comparisons
A hook that offers a similar profile and similar sizes is Daiichi’s 2461 Long-Shank Aberdeen Hooks. Just like the C2461 Long Shank Aberdeen Black Hooks, these hooks have a long shank, wide gap, Aberdeen bend, and black nickel finish, making them a hook that’s closely similar. Due to their similarity, these two hooks can be used almost interchangeably without any issues.

"Good value streamer hook."
"I purchased the size 6 and 4 hooks for tying hoppers and small streamers. I hate to say it, but fair warning, the size 6 in particular is almost useless. You can bend the hook easily with just your fingers. The gap bends out under the tension of the tying thread with the simple amount of pressure needed to secure materials. The 4s seem to be a little more stout, but I have zero confidence that this size 6 will withstand a big angry brown or smallmouth. Stick with the OG Daiichi if you can find them. I hope Trident can supply those instead."
"The size 6 bends out VERY easy. Very disappointed in them. Thought about sending them back for a refund but I had already tied up some patterns with them. The 4s are a little stronger. But my confidence in these is definitely shaken.. Stick with the Daiichi."
