Graphene Nano-Resin - At the core of any rod is the blank. It has to be light. It has to be strong. But most importantly, it's got to be accurate. In order to make the BEST fly rod, we had to start with the best materials - and, today, that's graphene. Graphene is 200 times stronger than steel yet lighter than graphite.
But a great blank isn't just great materials. We spent over two years refining the design of one single line weight in order to bring you the most accurate and versatile blank ever.

"Every now and then a rod comes along that makes you wonder how the manufacturer managed to sell it for the asking price. The Atlas 9' 6-weight is one of those rods. The first thing that strikes you is that it simply feels better than anything in its price class has any right to. There are certainly rods that cost considerably more, but very few deliver a noticeably better fishing experience. The real value is in the blank. It is impressively light in the hand, recovers quickly, and has an excellent progressive flex. Too many modern fast-action rods mistake stiffness for performance and end up feeling like you're casting a telephone pole. The Atlas avoids that trap. It is unquestionably a fast rod, but it bends enough to communicate with the caster, making it enjoyable rather than merely efficient. Paired with a Scientific Anglers Amplitude Trout GP line, the rod came alive. The combination loaded beautifully at normal fishing distances yet still had the reserve power to punch tight loops into a steady 15 mph wind without drama. Wind that would have many rods feeling strained became almost a non-event. Perhaps the highest compliment I can give it is this: after just over two months recovering from major shoulder surgery, I had no business looking as competent as I did. My strength has only just started to return, my timing is still coming back, and yet the Atlas quietly compensated for more of my shortcomings than I care to admit. It tracked cleanly, generated effortless line speed, and made my casting look considerably better than I deserved. That, ultimately, is what separates a genuinely good fly rod from one that merely has impressive specifications on paper. The Atlas is forgiving without feeling soft, powerful without being brutally stiff, and light enough that long days on the water remain comfortable. Magnificent is not a word I use often when reviewing fishing gear. In this case, it's earned."
"I bought the 9ft 6wt last year for an all-around rod. I bought Scientific Anglers Infinity line for it and was not happy with the way it mended and casted. So, I put Scientific Anglers Anadro on being a 1. 5 size bigger the rod woke up now it is a powerhouse it mends line beautifully. The fit and finish of the rod is beautiful. There are no complaints now!"
