Starting with their Micro Loop, Airflo adds ultra-strong loops to this line for both easy leader adjustment and smooth casting due to a clean transition on the loop. From there, Airflo's Low Stretch core comes in to decrease line stretch, allowing you to set the hook home no matter what just ate your fly. Finally, Airflo finishes things off with their Superflo technology, a proprietary material formulation that makes for butter-like transfers across the line's taper, allowing anglers to hit those across-the-river targets with the blink of an eye.

Uses

Streamers, Poppers, Crustaceans, Large Dry Flies/Terrestrials - Since Airflo makes their Superflo 40+ Extreme Fly Line in such a wide range of line weights and densities, there's an option for nearly any fly in your box. With its short taper, this line loads modern rods very well to help present chunky and air-resistant patterns like big streamers and poppers with ease. Floating and intermediate densities allow you to fish flies that require a bit more finesse, such as shrimp patterns, and while this isn't a dry fly-specific line, its taper allows you to cast large terrestrials that often don't need the subtle landing that a longer taper offers.

Temp

Cold to Moderate - Complementing the line's versatile taper and design, Airflo makes the Superflo 40+ Extreme to be used in a wide range of water temps, starting at 40 degrees and going all the way up to 86. This allows you to cover nearly all freshwater situations that aren't truly tropical, as well as a wide range of saltwater environments. The only place this line will be compromised is in a truly tropical setting, where it'll soften up from the heat.

Taper/Weight

More Mass Towards the Front of the Head - This line sports a compact 35' head that focuses the mass towards the front of the head while adding a 16' front taper. This well-designed taper loads rods efficiently, allowing you to easily send casts across the river, while a 16' head lets your fly land softly. An excellent taper for a wide range of rods and situations, Airflo completes this design with a two-toned appearance to help with distance control and timing.
