Ahrex NS122 Light Stinger Hooks

A classic streamer style hook with a stinger bend, Ahrex’s NS122 Light Stinger Hooks are ready to help you connect with those tough predatory fish. Ahrex built their NS122 Hooks with a nice wide gape, which gives excellent penetration and holding power. And to further enhance your success, these hooks are chemically sharpened with a black nickel finish and small barb. Ready for use in both salt and freshwater, you can turn to the NS122 Light Stinger Hooks whether you’re feeding massive trout a sculpin or casting shrimp to delicately feeding weakfish.

Uses

The NS122 Light Stinger Hooks is a pretty versatile platform. You can use this hook to tie most small to medium sizes baitfish patterns and crustaceans like shrimp. And while they weren’t designed with poppers in mind, these hooks are a good choice for things like small Gurglers.

Comparisons

Gamakatsu’s B10S is another very similar stinger hook. The B10S also features a stinger design with a nice long shank and black nickel finish, but it’s available in sizes 12 all the way through 5/0. With this wide range of sizes, the B10S gives a bit more versatility and allows you to tie a wider range of patterns. Other than the long list of sizes, these two hooks are pretty similar and can be used almost interchangeably.
