The Zane Pro replaces Hardy’s previously popular Zephrus SWS as one of the most technologically advanced, high-performance saltwater rod series on the market. Hardy reduced the rod shaft diameter, decreased the weight of the rod, upgraded the guides, and reworked the blank to provide a rod that’s more refined and powerful. These rods are not only lightweight but cut through the wind really well and deliver a variety of flies to a variety of saltwater targets. Whether you’re dropping a crab pattern in on a finicky Permit or delivering a large streamer blindly to Stripers in the northeast, the Zane Pro has the guts, accuracy, and finesse to get the job done. Period.
SINTRIX 440 Technology - Hardy’s SINTRIX technology has been around since 2009. The second iteration, SINTRIX 440, means the Zane Pro is up to 30% lighter than traditional carbon fiber rods. SINTRIX 440 also increases the comprehensive strength of the Zane Pro by up to 60%. SINTRIX mixes microscopic silica spheres to make an adhesive resin that’s resistant to pressure and compression from all angles. As a result, the Zane Pro is more powerful and high performing than the Hardy fly rods of the past.
Ceramic-Lined Titanium REC Recoil Guides - REC Recoil guides are extremely lightweight and highly practical. Don’t worry about banging or bending your guides. If bent, recoil guides bounce back into place without warping. Plus, the titanium increases durability and the ceramic lining decreases line friction through the guides.
Black Pearl Recoil Guides - Similarly, black pearl recoil guides also rebound when bent or crushed. These guides decrease the overall rod weight for lightweight performance and durability.
Anodized Aluminum w/Double Uplocking Component - Bar stock 6061 aluminum makes the reel seat of the Zane Pro virtually weatherproof. No need to worry about corrosion or wear. A double uplocking component holds large saltwater reels in place during days on the water.
Aluminum Rod Tube - The Zane Pro comes in a classic aluminum Hardy rod tube. These tubes are ultra-durable and super stylish for functionality and purpose.
Hardy Worldwide Extended Warranty - Hardy’s warranty covers repair or replacement of damaged, broken, or defective sections of the fly rod for the lifetime of the product. As of 8/20/2020, rods manufactured after 2002 require a $75 fee for repairs, handling, administration, and return postage.
