Description
TFO’s Pro series of rods has been in production for over 20 years, and their Pro III brings the latest iteration of this series to the market. Picking up where the Pro II left off, the Pro III provides an outstanding value for its price, and with line weights ranging from a 3 to a 10, this family of rods has an option whether you’re feeding trout terrestrials or putting the brakes on a hefty tarpon in the Keys. The Pro III has a moderate action and taper that gives solid feedback to the caster without sacrificing the power you need to handle wind and fight strong fish, and you can count on this rod to deliver smooth casting and presentation while maintaining a tight loop. Whether it’s your first season on the water and you want a reliable starter stick, or you’re just looking to fill a line weight void without breaking the bank, TFO’s Pro III is a fine choice for every skillset on the water.
Blank
Graphite - The Pro III features a graphite construction with a moderate action. Not only is this graphite durable and smooth to cast, but its moderate action is a fine choice for beginners and fly-casting veterans alike. The Pro III provides aesthetic appeal with a matte black finish, navy thread wraps, and silver accenting wraps–alignment dots also add convenience that never gets old.
Guides
SiC Stripping Guides - Outfitted with SiC stripping Guides, the Pro III lets your line shoot freely while remaining lightweight and durable.
Double-Foot Anodized Snake Guides - A solid addition to this rod’s componentry, the double-foot anodized snake guides contribute to excellent slickness while remaining durable no matter what happens on the water.
Reel Seat
Anodized Aluminum Reel Seat - With an Anodized Aluminum Reel Seat, TFO makes their Pro III Rods light in hand without sacrificing durability. Made to stand up to long days on the water, this Anodized Aluminum Reel Seat was built for years of use, and a dual-uplocking construction keeps your reel tightly seated no matter what fish you’re pulling on.
Rod Tube
Equipped with a rod sock and rod tube, the Pro III is ready to go anywhere you want to take it. From densely wooded trails en route to the perfect brook trout stream to an Uber on the way to the airport terminal, your rod will always be protected in its tube and sock.
Warranty
As of August 2022, TFO offers a warranty that covers defects in material and workmanship. Should you break or damage your rod due to an accident or typical wear and tear, TFO offers repair or a replacement for a fee. TFO also offers replacement sections at a fee for a faster alternative.
