Likely Bob Clouser’s most legendary brainchild, the Clouser Minnow Fly is a streamer with fame that has grown around the world since its humble beginning in the year 1987 as a fly to catch bass on the Susquehanna River in Pennsylvania. Designed to match a range of minnows and sink quickly, the Clouser Minnow features a bucktail construction with added flash and lead dumbbell eyes that produce an enticing jigging action, and famed angler Lefty Kreh considers it to be one of the most important and effective flies on the market. Not only did Lefty and Bob hold this fly in high regard, but it was quickly found to be a multi-species fly that could catch just about any species of fish that prey on other fish--Lefty claims to have caught over 87 different species on the Clouser Minnow Fly, and anglers everywhere rely on it to catch fish like Striped Bass, Brown Trout, Steelhead, and Smallmouth. 

The Clouser Minnow easily adapts to most moving or still fresh and saltwater environments and works wonders with a stripped retrieve that’s slow, fast, or anywhere in between. The Clouser Minnow comes in a range of sizes and colors to make it easy to match the hatch of the bait in your waters, but it also pays off to keep a few bright attractor colors like the ever popular tutti frutti or chartreuse over white on hand for the instances when you need to turn heads.
