Another solid fly from the mind of Charlie Craven, the Juju Emerger is a versatile addition to any fly box. When designing the Juju Emerger, Charlie took inspiration from his famous SuperHair bodies and Rim Chung's RS2 and combined it with an effort to create a fly that can be fished as an emerger, dry, and even a nymph, and this fly gave him exactly what he was looking for. Though it's a fly that can be fished in so many ways, its construction is simple and straightforward: tapered tailing fibers for a tail, a wound SuperHair body, a dubbed thorax, and a CDC wing.
The Juju Emerger can be fished as a searching pattern, but it's also a great imitation for small mayfly nymphs and emergers as well as midge larvae and adults. Large tailwaters, small limestone creeks, and even trout ponds, the Juju Emerger makes it easy to fool those trout that are dialed into small meals.
