Reel Seat
Lockdown Reel Seat - this is Lamson's own design and the most distinctive hardware on the rod. Instead of clamping the reel foot against a round barrel, the Lockdown seat mounts the reel on machined aluminum rails. The foot sits flat on a flat surface, which means the reel cannot rotate or rock its way loose over a long day, a common annoyance on conventional round seats. The insert is storm grey anodized aluminum, which shrugs off the moisture and grit a reel seat lives in.
Rod Tube
The Guru ships in a Cordura rod tube with internal dividers, so all four sections travel in their own channels instead of knocking against each other in transit.
Warranty
Lamson covers the Guru with a lifetime warranty against defects in material or workmanship for the original owner, and that warranty covers parts and labor. It does not cover damage from misuse, improper maintenance or modification, and Lamson resolves claims by repair or replacement at their discretion, noting that replacement parts or colors may not match the original.
