Loomis has created a tool that’s prepared for it all. Whenever the engineers set out to create the IMX-Pro V2, they had three key components in mind: “improved tracking in the wind, lifting generous lengths of line before a re-cast, and fish fighting control.” Loomis achieves this tricky trio of performance features through the use of their proprietary Conduit Core Technology and GL7 Resins, while also pairing a super-powerful bottom section with a tighter tip. And although this design was created around those three main components, this rod has residual convenience through its ability to decrease tailing loops and remain lightweight in hand during long shifts on the water. Handcrafted in Woodland, Washington, G. Loomis makes their IMX-Pro V2 Saltwater Rod in line weights 6 through 12 in order to give you an option whether you’re making light work of juvenile tarpon or pulling on a pelagic fish like a cobia.

Conduit Core - At the heart of the IMX-Pro V2, you’ll find G. Loomis’ Conduit Core Blank. Conduit Core is a proprietary technology that Loomis uses to decrease the weight of the rod by replacing excess graphite with a proprietary material that’s considerably lighter yet equally strong. This technology is exactly what will reduce the work involved in those long days spent casting hefty flies, full sink lines, and pulling on fast predators. 

With their Conduit Core Technology in the blank, Loomis seamlessly integrates their proprietary GL7 Resin, in order to add the strength that you need for tough fish while keeping things nice and light.

G. Looms crafts their IMX-Pro V2 in a clean grey color that’s nice and subdued and sets this rod apart from the traditional blue colorways found on most salt-specific fly rods.

Warranty 

As of March 2023, G. Loomis’ IMX-Pro Musky Rod is covered by their limited lifetime warranty. This covers non-conformities in workmanship and materials for the life of the original owner. A receipt or proof of purchase is necessary, and rods must be registered with G. Loomis within 30 days of purchasing in order to be eligible for the warranty. Should you break your rod due to abuse, neglect, wear and tear, or alteration, your rod will be repaired or replaced for a fee. G. Loomis also reserves the right to refuse service on any claim.
