A weighted variation of John Barr's Emerger, this fly features a tiny bead that helps it penetrate the surface to imitate the early stages of a hatching mayfly, specifically BWOs and PMDs. The fly's slim profile features a lifelike yet simple design that's built for picky, technical trout. Use this fly in the western US on tailwaters and spring creeks as a single fly or as a dropper off of a dry fly. This is a freshwater emerger fly and should be used in rivers and creeks when targeting trout feeding on hatching BWOs and PMDs.
