Description
Cortland makes three versions of this Streamer line: a floating version, a 10ft sink tip, and a 15ft sink tip. This version features a caster-friendly short, aggressive head to turn over large flies and a tungsten t-6 tip to get your flies down quickly. The extra 5wt of sink tip on this version of the line allows you to fish deeper water in both lakes and large western rivers so that you can get the most out of your streamer fishing adventures.

The line is designed to remain durable during days on the water with a coating that also improves casting capabilities. Loops at both ends allow anglers to easily attach leaders and backing so you can focus on the fishing instead of the rigging. This line comes in a black/olive color scheme so you always know when your sinking tip is in the water.
Uses
Streamers, Freshwater - Like any sink tip line, this is a line designed for streamer fishing. Whether you're swinging flies for Steelhead or chucking baitfish patterns for Bass, this is a line that will load up quickly and help you propel large flies in windy conditions. The tip sinks at 6-inches per second so this is a great line to use in deep rivers for Trout, too.
Temp
Cold/Moderate - This line features a braided nylon multifilament core which means it's made to be used in cold and moderate climates including freshwater streams and rivers, lakes, and almost any climate. That being said, this line will turn limp in tropical climates and isn't meant to be used in high heat.
Taper/Weight
Short Aggressive Taper - The Cortland Streamer Sink 15 has a short aggressive front taper for casting large streamers and turning over heavy flies. The 31' head with a 10' step makes this a great streamer line. The WF5F version has a 30' head weight of 160 grains which also means it's a full line size heavy to load fast-action streamer rods at short distances.
