Description

The original Ross Cimarron reel was introduced in the 1980’s, and quickly became a hallmark of the Ross brand. We’ve come a long way since that era in our history, and we felt it’s now better than ever to introduce a reel with the same name to honor this timeless classic.

The Cimarron opens up the gateway into the Ross Reel family. At a $295 price point, this reel provides a high quality drag system based on our renowned Animas reel, anodized frame and spool, premium textured cerakote drag knob for easy adjustments and durability against any drops and dinks.

Ross Reels has brought back the Cimarron fly reel, a USA-made freshwater reel that features some nice technology upgrades with classic Ross aesthetics. Solid Stout Reel

"This is an ideal reel for fiberglass rods. It’s heavier weight is an asset in this application. My 5/6 perfectly balances my 5 wt Thomas and Thomas Lotic and the platinum color matches the hardware on the rod. Overall, it has a solid, quality feel. As far as fit and finish, it is significantly better than a Lamson Guru. The matte finish will not show scuffs as much as a more polished reel. If you are looking for a light weight reel to balance a light rod, this isn’t the reel for you. Overall if you are looking for a heavier American made reel, this one is for you!"
