Description

The LK Legacy from TFO is a slightly more technical fast-action rod that pays homage to rod designer Lefty Kreh. This is a big water trout rod that's designed for the intermediate and experienced angler who needs to cut through the wind and deliver flies accurately at longer distances. The power levels and action levels on this rod are high, and it's an incredible tool for anglers looking to throw large flies in windy scenarios. If you're an angler who targets trout on large rivers in windy conditions, this is a great rod to keep you fishing all day long.

Blank

High Modulus Carbon Fiber - TFO has produced a high-performance fast-action rod blank by using high modulus carbon fiber and a tip flex design. These blanks have a stiffer butt section than a normal trout rod and increased power levels to help you throw tight loops in any condition. The blank is finished with a matte grey color for stealth and performance on the water.

Guides

Two Large Stainless Steel Stripping Guides - Two large black-frame stainless steel stripping guides accommodate any fly line on heavier rod models. Lighter models have one stainless steel stripper for decreased fly line friction and increased accuracy.

Stainless-Steel Snake Guides - TFO has stepped up its componentry game on the LK Legacy and added stainless steel snake guides for increased durability and decreased fly line friction.

Reel Seat

Double Uplocking Solid Anodized Aluminum w/ Carbon Fiber - The reel seat on the LK Legacy is simple, practical, and efficient. The carbon fiber spacer keeps the bottom half of the rod lightweight, while the double uplocking anodized aluminum components and angled reel hood lock any freshwater reel in place. The reel seat holds up well to dings and scrapes and leads into a premium cork grip on every rod model. The larger models have an anodized aluminum spacer instead of the Carbon Fiber spacer seen on smaller rod models.

Rod Tube

Cordura Rod Tube - The TFO LK Legacy comes in a Cordura rod tube to protect the rod during travel and transportation. Most TFO rods don't come with rod tubes; however, TFO has included a rod tube in some of their latest rod models.

Warranty

TFO Warranty - As of October 2020, TFO rods purchased from an authorized dealer have a no-fault lifetime warranty for the life of the registered owner. TFO will always repair or replace (at no cost to the customer) any rod with faulty workmanship or manufacturer defects. If your rod breaks or is damaged from normal wear and tear, TFO charges $35 for repairs, processing, shipping, etc.

Reviews

6wt w/fighting butt

"One of my favorite rods. Incredibly versatile. Definitely fast, but you can feel the rod loading and unloading all throughout the cast. Currently using an MPX taper and have casted small to medium sized streamers, large dry flies, and indicator rigs. The rod never skipped a beat. I know it will make an excellent light-duty flats/inshore rod."

Good beginner rod

"Read lots of reviews and this is believed as a beginner is the rod I needed."

Larry J. (5/5)

Tremendous rod

"I have never ben a long caster - my local streams don’t require it. In the last year I’ve used my 8 wt. lk legacy for big river Atlantic salmon and brook trout in different parts of Canada. I’m able to cast it 80’ into a wind - farther than I’ve ever casted any rod. It is light, accurate and comfortable. I love this rod."

Yoopertrout (5/5)

Excellent Rod

"Excellent rod has the power to really load the line but also the finesse to fish the delicate dry flys."
