Great fly line.
"Great fly line."
Poling through a skinny marsh as spring rolls into summer or catching them as they ride the incoming tide into an intercoastal water system, it won't matter how you're pursuing redfish whenever you're casting Scientific Anglers' Amplitude Smooth Redfish Warm Fly Line. Included in SA's Amplitude series, this line is super smooth and offers five times less drag and eight times the durability of other fly lines. Built a half-size heavy with a short front taper, the Amplitude Smooth Redfish Line is an excellent tool for delivering quick and precise casts with flies both large and small. Whether you're searching for tailers on foot or making quick casts from the deck of a skiff, this line is sure to help you catch redfish of any class.
Features
SA Line ID, Tropi-Core, and AST Plus - Redfish can be demanding species, and changing your rod and line setup can sometimes be what brings success. To ensure you never fumble and grab the wrong line or spool, Scientific Anglers gives this series its SA Line ID. SA Line ID is an integrated identification marking at the front 1'-2' of the line's tip that makes for quick and reliable selection. Designed to pursue redfish in the warmest water without failure, Scientific Anglers works its Tropi-Core technology into this line. Tropi-Core is combined with SA's proprietary hard saltwater coating to give you a line that can handle tropical water, hot boat decks, and rough environments. And when the fish are tailing a hundred feet away and you need to squeeze every inch you can out of your cast, Scientific Anglers' AST Plus helps get it done. AST Plus is a new formulation of Scientific Anglers' patented dry-slick technology that gives line slickness for the lifespan of your line while also increasing durability. AST Plus provides 50% more line slickness than the original AST formula and is 200% more durable than other lines on the market. Needless to say, this line works to increase distance and prevent you from cycling through a new line every season.
Uses
Streamers, Poppers, and Crustaceans - Perfect for the days that begin with throwing poppers tight to the bank, then shift into a late morning streamer bite, and finally end with an afternoon of scooting shrimp, Scientific Anglers' Amplitude Smooth Redfish Line is quick to adapt. Made a half-size heavier with a short front taper, this line has no trouble punching chunky streamers into windy conditions just as well as it can delicately present small shrimp and crab patterns.
Temp
Warm/Tropical - Designed as the tropical version of SA's Amplitude Smooth Redfish Line, this fly line has no trouble handling those hot climates and tropical waters. However, if you try and fish this line in the middle of winter for redfish, you'll notice that it gets stiff and will be tough to handle.
Taper/Weight
More Mass Towards the Front of the Head - Scientific Anglers made this line for quick casts and the necessary precision--think of it as an excellent choice for fishing from a boat or when scouting out tailers. Designed to be a half-size heavier with a short front taper and with more mass towards the front of the head, this line easily shoots through windy conditions and punches large flies right into the zone. A taper designed for tough conditions and even tougher fish, the Amplitude Smooth Redfish Warm Fly Line will meet all of your fall and winter redfish needs.

"The Galvan quality is well known, and Trident delivered much faster than I expected. Highly recommend!"
"I was really struggling making really short, accurate cast on a trip to west Galveston Bay Area with the set up I have because the water was off color and you were almost on top of the fish before you could see them, like cast were in the 20-25’ range and I was struggling to make accurate cast to them, spooled up with the SA Redfish and haven’t been able to go try it on fish yet but in my back yard I can from having about 7’ of line out of the rod tip an easily one shot shoot the line to targets from 15-30’ and get my fly on an 8” frisbee"
"Perfect match for my Scott Sector 9’ 8 weight. Huge improvement in my casting accuracy and distance."
