Description
The Sage Trout Spare Spool is designed to complement the Sage Trout series of reels, part of the Modern Classic family. This spool maintains the look of Sage's older click model 500 series but incorporates the sealed high-performance drag mechanism expected in modern trout reels today.
The Sage Trout series feels ultra-solid and matches beautifully with today's modern rods. Key features of the Modern Classic Trout Reel, which the spare spool is designed for, include:

- SCS Drag
- Machined and anodized aluminum One Revolution Drag Knob
- Large arbor for fast line pick-up
- Concave arbor for greater strength and capacity
- Fully machined 6061-T6 aerospace-grade aluminum
- Cold forged and tempered for superior strength and rigidity
- Minimal porting for a classic look and heavier balance
- Machined and anodized aluminum hub and ergonomic handle
- Easy conversion from left- to right-hand retrieve
- Neoprene and embroidered ballistic nylon reel case
Color options for the reel include Bronze and Stealth Silver.
Warranty
The Sage Lifetime Warranty - As of January 2021, every new Sage rod, blank, and Sage reel is covered by a lifetime, original owner warranty. One of the finest warranties in the business, it covers defects in materials or workmanship as well as rods that fail due to misuse, negligence, or normal wear-and-tear. Repair fees are based on the age of the rod, and Sage charges a $30 processing fee for rods that are part of the current lineup.
