Uses
Since this dubbing absorbs water well, it's best for any fly that's fished under the surface. Hare-Tron is quite versatile, and you can turn to it when tying nymphs, small streamers, scuds/sowbugs, emergers, and wet flies.
Comparisons
A dubbing that's very similar to Hare-Tron Dubbing is Hareline's Hare's Ear Plus Dubbing. Hare's Ear Plus Dubbin is also a combination of rabbit and Antron, but it utilizes the fur from a Hare's Mask, adding a ton of guard hairs. Both of these are great dubbing choices, but if you want a smoother body, then Hare-Tron is a better bet, and if you want a buggier appearance, then Hare's Ear Plus is a better option.
