Description

Hareline Double Pupil Brass Eyes are the non-toxic, lighter version of Hareline's lead eyes. They come in four different sizes and a variety of colors. Whether you are tying fresh or saltwater patterns, here is an eye that will work for you.

Uses

Patterns and Tying Techniques - Hareline Double Pupil Brass Eyes are used to add weight to your fly patterns while also giving your patterns the illusion of eyes. When tied towards the front of the fly, they provide a jigging motion. If tied on top of the hook shank, the eyes will invert your hook, which can prevent snags on bottom-bouncing flies or over structure.

Comparisons

Hareline Double Pupil Brass Eyes vs. Hareline Painted Lead Eyes - Hareline Double Pupil Brass Eyes, as the name suggests, have a more realistic double pupil. Not only does this provide realism but also contrast. Hareline Double Pupil Brass Eyes are lighter for the size than the Painted Lead Eyes.

Example Flies

Patterns - Mainly used on streamers like the Clouser Minnow. They are also the perfect choice for flies like the Christmas Island Special and the Lead Eyed Gotcha.

"Works well when you need to fish point side up!"

A+

"These eyes are becoming staples in my fly patterns. As great as the regular brass eyes are, when you add a touch of realism along with a splash of color, the results are undeniable."
