From tough permit on a sandy flat to a massive school of tailing redfish, the Chernobyl Crab Fly can catch them all and then some. Designed by one of the best artists around, Tim Borski, the Chernobyl Crab is a buggy crab pattern that can be fished in a variety of saltwater environments like flats, river systems, river mouths, tidal marshes, open beaches, and more. A great fly for fishing southern tropical areas as well as northeast salt, the Chernobyl Crab Fly has a look that attracts fish and a body that moves even when it is sitting still.

The Chernobyl Crab should be fished along the bottom of the water column and, depending on the depth of water, can be fished on a floating, intermediate, or sinking line. This is a great pattern for imitating a variety of crabs, but it is also an excellent searching pattern due to its natural movement and buggy look. A fly that's been catching fish for years, the Chernobyl Crab is an important part of every saltwater fly box.
