Description

The Ahrex SA220 Saltwater Streamer Hook is the quintessential choice for saltwater streamer patterns. With heavy wire and a straight eye, it is ideal for any classic saltwater pattern. You could tie an impressive fly box for targeting Northeast saltwater using only this hook. All the classic must-have saltwater patterns look great on it, as do newer innovative patterns. It’s hard to find a hook that is more standard and versatile for saltwater fly fishing than the SA220. The profile is perfect for small or large baitfish patterns. As is standard with Ahrex Hooks, it comes with a black nickel finish and a chemically sharpened barb. Available in sizes 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10.

Uses: Saltwater streamer patterns; this hook is extremely versatile and will work on any fly you want to tie.

Example Flies: Clouser Minnow, Lefty’s Deceiver, Flatwings.

Great hooks

"Great for clousers and any other patterns."

Ahrex hooks

"This hook is very stealthy. The gape seems a little smaller than other brand hooks which I really like. The finish is similar to a Daiichi and Tiemco. The design is really original too. If you are tying some crabs or brushy flies I would go with the sa210. My only complaint is the eye of the hook seems a little big or disproportionate. It is very similar to a Tiemco 811 or 600 hook which have been around forever."

Works For Any Saltwater Pattern

"If you start tying all your saltwater patterns on this hook you will not regret it. Crabs, shrimp, Clouser minnows, deceivers, and flatwings `all fish marvelously on it. Fish love it just as much as I do."
