Description
The Ahrex FW525 is the barbless version of Ahrex's FW524 Super Dry Hook, which is designed for flies like the Klinkhammer or parachute that ride in the film of the surface instead of riding high on top of the surface. Flies tied on these hooks will work great when trout are rising to emergers or other times when they are especially picky. As is the standard with Ahrex's FW series, this hook comes with 24 hooks to a pack, a black nickel finish, and is available in sizes 8-18. The advantage of a Super Dry Hook is the aforementioned low ride that it gives the flies. Sometimes, trout will only eat flies that are presented IN the surface, and not ON the surface. Being barbless, this hook will allow you to spend less time releasing fish and more time fishing, which is a benefit to you because you will spend more time fishing and a benefit to the fish because they spend less time out of the water.
Uses: Emergers, Parachute flies, the Klinkhammer, or any other fly you want to ride in the surface film.
