Uses

As its name implies, Ahrex's AHR418 Bomber Hook was built with Bomber-style dry flies in mind. However, it's a hook that you can rely on for tying just about any type of large dry fly for anadromous fish, and it can also be used when tying super-sized dry flies for rising fish in freshwater situations.

Comparisons

Daiichi has made another popular Bomber hook with their 2117 Van Klinken Bomber Hook. This hook has a similar construction and can be used to tie the same style of flies, but it has a standard Limerick bend instead of the wider gap on Ahrex's AHR418 Hook. Also, the 2117 Van Klinken Hook has a standard eye that doesn't have the elegant appearance of Ahrex's version.
