Classic Click-Pawl Lightweight Platform – The TR is built around a minimalist design, utilizing only 21 meticulously machined parts to ensure long-term reliability and simplicity. A partially ported frame reduces weight while maintaining structural integrity, and the integrated clicker system eliminates the need for a counterbalance, resulting in a clean, balanced spool. The pronounced palming rim is intentionally shaped to give anglers direct, manual control over drag pressure during a fight, adding a level of connection that modern drag systems often remove.

Click-Pawl Drag System – The TR utilizes a time-honored click-pawl drag system designed to protect light tippets while preventing spool overrun. Rather than relying on heavy mechanical resistance, the system delivers smooth, consistent tension paired with the iconic audible that many anglers love. Combined with the reel’s ergonomic palming rim, anglers can easily apply additional pressure manually when needed, making every fight a more hands-on experience.

Warranty
Abel Lifetime Warranty – Abel’s TR Reels are backed by a lifetime warranty covering the repair or replacement of parts due to defects in materials or workmanship. The warranty applies only to the original owner and is valid exclusively for products purchased through an authorized Abel dealer. Abel will determine whether an issue qualifies for warranty coverage based on material or manufacturing defects. For older or discontinued models, replacement parts may be substituted with current-production components, and cosmetic finishes may vary from the original. Products purchased through auction sites or unauthorized marketplaces are not eligible for warranty coverage. Repairs that fall outside of warranty coverage can still be serviced by Abel, with a repair quote provided for approval before any work is completed.
