Description

We've spent the past decade casting, fishing, reviewing, and selling high-end fly rods from virtually every manufacturer out there. And while those products are great, our customers kept asking us for a rod that could do it all. One that would work for both tropical saltwater trips and on their home waters, but we couldn't find a single rod on the market that could do both... until we cast the Atlas.

Blank

GrapheneNano-Resin - At the core of any rod is the blank. It has to be light. It has to be strong. But most importantly, it's got to be accurate. In order to make the BEST fly rod, we had to start with the best materials - and, today, that's graphene. Graphene is 200 times stronger than steel yet lighter than graphite.

But a great blank isn't just great materials. We spent over two years refining the design of one single line weight in order to bring you the most accurate and versatile blank ever.

Swing Weight - 78.7gm^2

Guides

REC Cerecoil Stripping Guides- The best rod starts with the best components. Cerecoil Guides are super lightweight and built with titanium to stand up to the elements.

REC Recoil Snake guides- Like the stripping guides, at Atlas, only the best will do. We chose recoil guides for their exceptional durability and lightweight.

Reel Seat

Custom asymmetrical anodized aluminum double up-locking reel seat- to secure your reel, we chose an industry-standard double up-locking reel seat, then made it better. We oversized the rings and made the reel seat asymmetrical so you're never fumbling around to attach your reel.

Rod Tube

Powder-coated aluminum rod tube- We wanted to make sure your investment is protected, and the aluminum rod tube does just that. It also comes with a matching rod bag.

9wt

"I bought the 9wt a couple months ago and just took it to southern Belize for a week. The rod looks and feels great. Definitely has some power to it and is built for long casts. I started off with a 9wt line and ended up switching over to a 10wt line. That just worked better for me. The Atlas is comparable to some of the higher end rods I own and would highly recommend this rod to anyone not wanting to spend $1200."

Great

"Love the rod. Had my 9wt NRX+ split slightly from wear and tear so I thought I better get new rod before nxt trip. Read Ben's review and got the Atlas 9 wt. Wow - threw line slightly further than my NRX+ out to 70-80 ft. Accurate at 40-60 ft. Light as all get out and 1/2 the price of most other rods. Can't beat that."

Why so no when it feels so good to say yes?-BigTom

"Love the quality feature of this rod such as the guides, grip and reel seat. Even with it being a "lighter" rod it loads great and really shoots the line without losing the feel of the line and doesn't require or feel like you have to do the casting. If you allow it, the Atlas Signature 9' 9wt will do the casting for you. Taking it to Xcalak this coming Spring but have used it chunkin' meat for some big White River browns! Great rod and a great rod tube as well!"

Great Permit Rod!

"Very nice 9wt fly rod. The action is fast and crisp. It delivers well in the wind and is very light in hand."

Atlas 8wt 9’ fly rod is great.

"I know Trident Fly Fishing is great place to shop. I wanted to buy the Atlas 9wt 9’ rod but ordered the 8wt by mistake, getting old! I called up and was told there was no problem to exchange it but it was already sent out. I got it four days and decided to keep it after I spoke to Trident. Took it out in the backyard today and this rod is a rocket. It is light and beautifully made, I love it. I’m a gear nut and have thirteen other fly rods( also tie my own flies) and now I’m going to sell a bunch, most are in great condition, to buy another Atlas in 9wt. Cannot say enough good things about this rod. shot line without stripping!"

10/10 striper rod

"I needed a new rod for Striped bass , I live in New England and mostly fish from shore. I landed on this rod after realizing that a company full of people who live in Maine and fish the same waters as me know what a good striper rod needs. I was absolutely blown away with this rod, it casts perfectly, does very well in the wind and the swing weight is super low. I can cast this rod all morning and it is way less taxing than other rods I’ve used. If you’re in the market for a rod to fish the New England coast from shore I highly highly recommend this"

Fabulous fast action rod!

"Just what I was looking for. This is a great “one and done” rod. If I had to only have one rod, this would be the one as it performs better that my Sage, Scott and G Loomis rods. Get this rod if you like a faster action. You will not regret it. Reminds me of my former lovely trout rod, the Sage XP. Smooth. Can handle a significant amount of force in your casts. But can also do delicate close casts with some attention by the caster. I loved this rod enough to also get the 8wt!"
