Spare spool for the Orvis Hydros Reel. This will not fit the older Hydros SL
- Hydros I for line weights 1-3; 4.7 oz, 3.1 in diameter.
- Hydros II for line weights 3-5; 5.0 oz, 3.4 in diameter.
- Hydros III for line weights 5-7; 5.5 oz, 3.7 in diameter.
- Hydros IV for line weights 7-9; 6.6 oz, 4 in diameter.
- Hydros V for line weights 9-11; 7.7 oz, 4.25 in diameter.

"I have just received my Orvis Hydros IV reel spool. I am writing this review before I even put the reel on my rod. The fact that it is an Orvis product gives me confidence that it will work very smoothly. The product arrived in a well protected box (positive). It was spooled with the line I ordered (positive) with the backing I requested (also positive). The box of the requested line was in the box with the spool. The best and most positive part of this is the fact that I ordered the spool and line on 08-19-21. It arrived at my doorstep on 08-23-21! That is Maine to Texas in essentially 4 days. That is top shelf service. I suggest calling the company if the item you need is on backorder. Their website showed that the product was backordered, but they had one left on the shelf. Great job!"
great new Orvis Hydros Fly Reel
"I have been using the older model Orvis Hydros Fly Reel for years but the new model is lighter in weight but every bit as good as the old one so it made sense that after purchasing one I had to have a spare spool so that I can have a floating line on one and sink tip on the other. I am very happy with this purchase. Orvis is a great company and Trident Fly Fishing is the best fly shop around for online purchases!"
