Guests arrive in Belize City at Philip Goldson International Airport (BZE), then take a short 15-minute domestic flight to San Pedro on Ambergris Caye. An El Pescador representative meets you at the airstrip and coordinates your quick transfer to the lodge by boat or vehicle. Upon arrival, guests are welcomed with a drink, shown to their rooms, and have time to unpack, relax by the pool, or make a few casts from the dock before dinner.
Each fishing day begins with coffee and a made-to-order breakfast, followed by an early meet-up with your guide at the dock. Departure times vary throughout the year depending on tides and light, and can be as early as 5:00 a.m. or as late as 8:00 a.m. You’ll spend a full day on the water, with lunch packed for the boat and plenty of flexibility based on conditions. Anglers typically return by late afternoon to enjoy a swim, a cocktail, or a few casts from the dock before dinner. Evenings are relaxed and social, with appetizers at the bar and dinner served family-style in the main dining area.
After breakfast, guests transfer back to San Pedro for the short return flight to Belize City and onward travel home. Lodge staff assist with all transfers, ensuring a smooth and timely departure after a memorable week in Belize.
