Used Tackle Return Policy

At Trident, we want you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase. While our Trident Guarantee covers all of the *NEW* items we sell, used items are a bit different. To make sure that we are being 100% transparent, we've updated our return policy to reflect the recent increase in popularity of our used tackle sections.

Outlined below is our return policy which applies to any and all products that are used, or marketed as such. By placing an order for a used item, you are agreeing to the terms below.

 

  1. YOU ARE TAKING A RISK BY BUYING USED. All items in our used tackle sections (here and here, and maybe elsewhere) as well as any item with the word "used" in the name or description, are USED (ie pre-owned, and definitely not new). They are sold AS-IS with NO WARRANTY. Some manufacturers may be willing to repair broken items, but this is done at their discretion and they/we do not guarantee this item in any way. We do our best to inspect all tackle, but ultimately, there are many defects that we cannot reasonably detect.
  2. Please inspect this item IMMEDIATELY upon receipt. As we inspect all items prior to shipping, any damage will have occurred during shipping and we must submit a claim with our insurance and the carrier. If you receive a damaged shipment, please take photos of the box as well as the product. If a package arrives damaged (ie the box is not intact), the best course of action is to refuse it and let the carrier send it back to us.
  3. You may return, at your own expense, used items within 7 DAYS provided it is in the same condition that you received it. This means that you have not used or tried it in ANY way. If you cast/use it and it breaks, we will NOT accept the return. If we have to clean it, you will be charged a $50 restocking fee.
  4. We won’t cover return shipping for differences of opinion about quality/condition
