If you love the original Copper John Nymph but need a little extra weight, then the Tungsten Jig Copper John Fly has everything that you need. Based on John Barr’s popular Copper John Nymph, this fly incorporates a biot tail, wire-wrapped body, peacock herl thorax, and resin-coated wingcase, but where it differs is its jig hook and tungsten bead--two great additions that allow you to fish deep with less concern about snags. 

The Tungsten Jig Copper John is a nymph that works great as an attractor, but it can also be relied on to match small stoneflies and some mayfly nymphs. This is a fly that you can get away with fishing in any size or color but sizes 12-14 in the colors of copper or red are favorites. And with such a heavy design and jig-hook construction, this fly makes an excellent choice when fishing a multi-nymph rig or whenever you plan to spend the whole day Euro Nymphing. From remote stretches of Montana to your local stocked stream, the Tungsten Jig Copper John is always a great choice.
