Design

Revolutionary Design - Taylor developed the Revolution Z to be the best fly reel in the world. A hybrid frame keeps the reel lightweight while a crazy-powerful disc drag system helps anglers fight any fish. Each reel model features a uniquely fitted drag housing that’s designed specifically for that particular reel. The reel also comes in a variety of colors. Another feature Taylor has built into the reel is a full-frame design for increased rigidity and two-handed performance.

Finish

Hard-Anodized Finish - The Revolution Z is finished with a hard anodize to protect the surface of the reel from corrosion and other wear and tear. Anodizing is a popular way to finish reels in the fly fishing industry because of its ability to preserve the integrity of the reel without adding unneeded weight.

Materials

Fully Machined 6061-T6 Aluminum, Carbon Fiber - The Revolution Z is fully machined from 6061-T6 aerospace-grade aluminum. After the aluminum part of the reel is machined, it’s then cold forged and tempered for increased strength and rigidity. The Rev Z also features a carbon fiber frame for reduced reel weight and increased durability.

Drag

Type - The Revolution Z functions on a stainless steel disc drag system. Disc drag systems are strong and efficient, and the Revolution Z disc drag system is fully sealed for saltwater performance.

Materials - The disc drag system of the Revolution Z is built on alternating carbon fiber/stainless steel stacked discs sealed within a watertight chamber. The drag on the larger reel models has over 15lbs of drag which is more than enough for any saltwater fish.

Arbor Size

Ultra-Large Arbor - The ultra-large arbor of the Revolution Z increases line pickup and helps anglers fight any saltwater fish on a single-handed fly rod. The ultra-large arbor design of the Revolution Z also increases retrieval rates and allows anglers to gain more line on any fish from Bonefish to Tarpon and everything in between.

Warranty

The Taylor Warranty - As of December 2019, Taylor products are covered by an original owner lifetime warranty limited to the repair or replacement of the product only and does not cover direct, indirect, consequential, incidental or any other type of damage. After the first year, all reels are covered by a limited lifetime warranty with a $50 processing fee.
