The Array V2 combines features from the previous iteration of the Array series and brand new features to create a reel that’s more versatile than ever before. One of the most noticeable upgrades is the drag system, designed to be more stable, more reliable, and more powerful. Plus the reel is lighter, more user-friendly, and more durable. This reel is great for intermediate anglers, a variety of species, and people looking for a do-it-all fly reel.
An Array of Uses - Taylor designed the Array V2 to be simple, efficient, and versatile. The V2 is also an evolution of the original Array reel series; this iteration features a stronger frame, more drag strength, minimalized tolerances, and a new design. If you’re looking for a versatile reel that’s lightweight and strong, this is a solid option.
Hard-Anodized Finish - The Array V2 is finished with a hard anodize to protect the surface of the reel from corrosion and other wear and tear. Anodizing is a popular way to finish reels in the fly fishing industry because of its ability to preserve the integrity of the reel without adding unneeded weight.
Fully Machined 6061-T6 Aluminum - The V2 is fully machined from 6061-T6 aerospace-grade aluminum. After the reel is machined, it’s then cold forged and tempered for increased strength and rigidity.
Type - The V2 functions on a stainless steel disc drag system. Disc drag systems are strong and efficient, and the V2 disc drag system is fully sealed for saltwater performance. The drag system also has an isolated one-way clutch in its own chamber to further ensure a watertight seal.
Materials - The disc drag system of the V2 is built on 8 alternating carbon fiber/stainless steel discs sealed within a watertight chamber. The drag has over 8lbs of drag which is more than enough for freshwater and saltwater fishing.
Large Arbor - The large arbor of the V2 increases line pickup and helps anglers fight freshwater and saltwater fish on a single-handed fly rod. The large arbor design of the V2 also increases retrieval rates and allows anglers to gain more line on any fish from freshwater Trout to small saltwater fish.
The Taylor Warranty - As of December 2019, Taylor products are covered by an original owner lifetime warranty limited to the repair or replacement of the product only and does not cover direct, indirect, consequential, incidental or any other type of damage. After the first year, all reels are covered by a limited lifetime warranty with a $50 processing fee.
