St. Croix’s most versatile rod series, the Imperial, comes in rod models from a 2wt through a 10wt. With a fast action rod blank, the Imperial features fast recovery speeds and loads of power. These rods work well in a variety of fishing scenarios and, at such an affordable price-point, are efficient on the water and on your budget. St. Croix has put a ton of engineering into these rods and their performance reflects St. Croix’s research and design. These rods are handcrafted right here in the USA.
SCIV and SCII Graphite - St. Croix’s dynamic blend of high-modulus/high-strain SCIV graphite and premium quality SCII graphite create a lightweight blank that’s strong and durable. The rod blank of the Imperial is fast action which adds to the rod’s versatility on the water. St. Croix has also added two coats of Flex Coat slow-cure finish to the rod blank for reinforced durability and added power.
Kigan Master Hand 3D Stripping Guides - Kigan stripping guides have aluminum-oxide rings and black frames to complement the deep red blank of the Imperial. These guides are functional, durable, and accommodate any fly line.
Sea Guide Snake Guides - Snake guides are low profile and low friction to allow fly line to smoothly move through the Imperial. Snake guides are widely used by many major rod manufacturers.
Machined Aluminum w/Uplocking Components - The reel seat on the Imperial is capable of handling all angling conditions. A wood insert gives the rod a classic feel on the smaller rod models and an anodized aluminum insert on the larger models means they’re corrosion-proof and saltwater ready. An uplocking component holds down heavy fly reels.
Fabric-Covered Rod Tube - The Imperial comes in a black fabric-covered rod tube that protects the rod during travel and time off of the water. The tube features a handle and a divided polypropylene liner.
St. Croix 15-Year Transferable Warranty - As of 5/15/2019, the Imperial falls under St. Croix’s Forever Assurance 15-year Transferable Warranty. If a rod has a manufacturer defect, is broken, or is damaged beyond repair, St. Croix will repair or replace your rod for a cost based on their three-tier service plan.
