Fast meets Feel. With the new Radian, Scott has achieved what was previous thought to be impossible: a fast, high-performance rod that retains all of the feel of your favorite trout rod. How did Scott do it? They used their new ReAct technology to increase recovery speed... a lot. By minimizing energy- sapping vibrations, ReAct creates fast action, high line speed rods with all the nuance and feel of a presentation rod.. Best of all, the Scott Radian is built in Montrose, Colorado.
ReAct technology - The Scott Radian uses ReAct - Scott's proprietary technology for reducing vibrations and increasing recovery speed. It does this by combining their X-Core design with new materials and tapers. The result is a rod that has extremely high performing, yet retains the feel that we're all looking for.
Fuji SiC Stripping Guides w/Titanium Frame - The best rods start with the best components and the Scott Radian is no different. Titanium guides are not only up to 65% lighter than stainless steel, they're also over 3 times stronger and totally saltwater safe. These guides are fitted with Silicon Carbide inserts that are diamond polished for reduced drag and improved casting performance.
Universal Guides - The Scott Radian comes standard with American made guides from Snake Brand that feature "radius feet" which conform to the blank, have incredible corrosion resistance, and a self-lubricating finish to shoot line farther.
Single Uplocking w/Box Elder Insert - A great reel seat not only keeps your reel on, but it looks great to. Scott knows this and has built all Radian fly rods with beautiful custom reel seats and burled box elder spacers
Black anodized reel seat - Higher line weight models of the Radian combine their standard top grade Portuguese cork with a fully saltwater safe anodized aluminum reel seat.
Aluminum Rod Tube - The Scott Radian comes with the same ultra-durable aluminum rod tube that comes with all Scott Rods. It will protect the rod against even the meanest baggage handlers.
Scott Lifetime Warranty - The Scott Radian, like all Scott fly rods, is covered by the Scott Lifetime Warranty, which covers the rod for the life of the original owner. As of July 2015, the cost of these repairs is $50 and the turnaround time is about 4 weeks. Rods must be registered within 30 days of purchase to qualify for the warranty.
